Roundtable: Empowering Women, Youth and Indigenous Persons to Accelerate Global Water Security in the Water Action

This interactive world café will bring together member states representatives, young water professionals, indigenous leaders, civil society, and development partner organizations to create consensus around strategic actions and address slow progress. Discussions will contribute to the UN Water accelerators of data and information, capacity building, and innovation to achieve measurable outcomes. Some of the sub-themes are:

Scaling up and building blocks for gender benchmarking & diversity in WASH institutions;
Introducing benchmarking on gender diversity & representation at decision-making levels;
Successful experiences of youth & indigenous engagement in decision-making processes; and
Enhancing women’s effective voice & influence in water associations.
